LAST NIGHT’S GRAHAM Norton Show was always going to be guaranteed craic with Emma Thompson on the couch, and of course she delivered.

The actress was full of beans as usual, regaling the audience with a story about the time she and her “54-year-old best mate” went to the Reading music festival – along with “90,000 teenagers”.
There is photographic evidence of her with some ladsladslads, thank god:

She said she was having a nice time at the festival until, by accident or design, she ended up in the mosh pit at an Arctic Monkeys gig.

After that, her experience took a turn that will be very familiar to seasoned festival-goers:
She is referring, of course, to the iconic piece of merchandise known as the Shewee.

“I love that people who are high at Reading would have run into you thinking ‘NANNY MCPHEE’,” said fellow guest Cara Delevingne. “Nanny McPhee covered in wee!”
Amazing. Please, people, if you see Emma Thompson in a mosh pit in the future, protect her. She’s all we have.
